Lightmed LightLas 577

USA
The Lightmed LightLas 577 is a laser system for ophthalmic photocoagulation. Laser radiation can be delivered in three different ways: via a slit lamp (with integrated adapter), an indirect laser ophthalmoscope, or endoprobes (supplied in sterile packaging). The laser console is mounted on a specially designed mobile cart (positioned next to the table holding the slit lamp). If the laser is required in the operating room, the cart with the console can be moved there without any additional effort from the surgical team.

The continuous wave (CW) laser mode is supplemented by a micropulse mode (SP‑mode™). The micropulse mode allows treatment at sub‑threshold energy levels without functional damage to the retinal pigment epithelium or neuroepithelium. This typically requires up to 50% less energy to achieve the same therapeutic effect as traditional green laser photocoagulation (due to the absorption characteristics of yellow‑spectrum radiation at 577 nm wavelength).

Features

  • Low light scatter when passing through the optical structures of the eye.
  • Reduced energy requirement (compared to green laser).
  • Safer for the macula than the «classic» green laser.
  • Minimal thermal damage to retinal tissues.
  • Patented laser resonator design with 2.0 W power ensures exceptional system longevity and stability.
  • Improved energy stability during prolonged use.
  • Minimal tissue damage in SP‑mode™ (micropulse).
  • Slit lamp with integrated laser adapter and convenient micromanipulator.
  • Detachable control panel (touchscreen LCD control).
  • Well‑designed portable laser construction.
