It is necessary to visit the doctor after surgery!
- On the day after surgery, you must come for a follow‑up examination at 8:30–9:00 to the ASTANA VISION clinic;
- For about 1 month after surgery, follow‑up examinations are conducted on a walk‑in basis, without an appointment, from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, and thereafter as prescribed by the doctor;
- If an examination is needed after 3 months following surgery, a preliminary appointment for a paid repeat diagnostic examination is required.
We return to the rhythm of life gradually!
- On the day after surgery, you may wash your face, wash your hair, and take a shower, allowing water to get into the operated eye; you may gradually start working on a computer, using a phone, and watching TV. With high visual acuity, driving is possible on the day after surgery.
- To accelerate adaptation, it is recommended to perform visual exercises starting from 2–3 days after surgery for 3–4 weeks:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERFORMING VISUAL EXERCISES
1. Cut a circle with a diameter of 0.5–1 cm from coloured paper (or use a small piece of newspaper text) and attach it to the window pane. Stand by the window so that the distance from the circle to your eye is 25–30 cm. Alternately look at the circle for 15 seconds and then at a distant object (a house, a tree, etc.) chosen in advance for 15 seconds. Perform the exercise 2–3 times a day with both eyes simultaneously for 3–5 minutes each session. Alternatively, you can look at the tip of a pencil (or pen) held 25–30 cm away, then at a far corner of the room. 2. Pencil exercise: Hold a pencil (or pen) at arm’s length and fix your gaze on it with both eyes, then slowly and smoothly move it towards your nose. As soon as the pencil begins to double, stop and try to «re‑merge» the images. If you succeed, continue the exercise. If you cannot merge the images, move the pencil slightly away until it stops doubling, then try to bring it a little closer again. Return to the starting position and repeat 3–4 times.You must instil the drops after surgery as follows:

- We kindly ask you to strictly follow the entire course of prescribed postoperative eye drop instillation;
- You may use moisturising drops not only in case of discomfort, but also during intense visual workload, including computer work.
- Contact sports (volleyball, basketball) are not recommended for up to 3–4 weeks after surgery;
- Avoid visiting swimming pools, steam rooms, and saunas for up to 2 weeks;
- If necessary, a sick leave certificate or a certificate for up to 5 days from the date of application will be issued at your local polyclinic (please arrange the issuance of the sick leave certificate with the local doctor in advance).
