Exactly one month ago, on 23.08.22, at a time blessed by Allah, my long‑standing dream, which had become my goal this year, was successfully fulfilled. Countless thanks to Allah! I had laser correction using the FemtoLASIK method. I had been reading about laser correction since 2019, but I was very afraid and not ready inside. While doing my research, I had really wanted the procedure done by a specific surgeon. Allah granted me the opportunity – I was able to get an appointment with that surgeon on the day before the operation, even before going through diagnostics. I was overjoyed.
On 22.08, after being examined with 6–7 devices during diagnostics, it was determined that my right eye was –7.75 and my left eye –7.25. I was also very happy that my eye parameters were suitable for the surgery. The operation was scheduled for 23.08 at 13:50. I had watched a video of how the procedure is done and familiarised myself with each stage. On 23.08, the surgery lasted about 10 minutes. I can’t say it didn’t hurt at all – I did feel some pain. However, the surgeon explained every step as he went. I listened to the post‑op care instructions through the headphones and was given eye drops. Every time I opened my eyes, they would water, and there was a discomfort that felt like tearing when blinking. Because my prescription was high, my near vision was blurry for a while. Still, on the day of the operation, when I could see my mother’s face and even her eyelashes, I understood that my vision was already much better than before. The next day, on the way to the post‑op check‑up, I could see traffic light numbers, licence plates, building signs, and the edges of tree leaves – I was delighted to know that my vision was 100%. I instilled the drops on time, did eye exercises, and followed the care routine. After one month, I went for a follow‑up examination, and the result was that I now see 125% with both eyes. Praise be to Allah! The main thing is that my vision stays at this level. Continued in the photo➡️ @av_astana @doctor_remesnikov
