As long as I can remember, my eyesight has been poor. At school, even though I was tall, I had to sit at the front desk because I couldn’t see the board. As I grew older, driving also became difficult, especially at night. I first heard about laser eye surgery 5–6 years ago, but I was afraid and hesitant to go through with it. After hearing from people around me who had had the surgery and could see wonderfully, I decided to do it. I chose the Astana branch of the @av_astana eye clinic network and booked an appointment. On 5.01.23, I underwent a full examination, and the next day Dr. @dr.nazarova_lazzat performed the surgery. The operation itself takes only a few minutes. Afterwards, you need to rest with your eyes closed for 3 hours. Then I opened my eyes and was amazed to see everything around me clearly: the distant buildings, car licence plates, shop signs, and people’s faces – everything was crystal clear. It was an incredible feeling. The next day I had a post‑op check‑up. I could read up to the 12th line of the Snellen chart, whereas before I could only see the 3rd–4th lines.
